All Elite Wrestling delivered a star-studded episode of AEW Dynamite on July 13.
The first night of the Fyter Fest special featured a three-way AEW World Tag Team Championship match. Plus, Wardlow defended the TNT Championship against Orange Cassidy, and Interim World Champion Jon Moxley faced Konosuke Takeshita.
The results are as follows:
AEW TNT Championship Wardlow (c) vs. Orange Cassidy
Before the match, Trent Beretta and Chuck Taylor say they got managerial licenses, and because Wardlow is a monster, they’ll have to cheat to help Cassidy win. Once the bell rings, Cassidy tries to draw power from his pockets, but Wardlow rips them out. “Freshly Squeezed” puts the champion’s straps back up, and he flexes at the powerhouse. Cassidy escapes a powerbomb attempt and showcases his athleticism. Beretta gets on the apron and distracts the referee. Taylor slides a chainsaw into the ring, but the referee catches him. He ejects the duo from ringside. Cassidy “kicks” Wardlow as only he can. He sends Wardlow to the outside and dives onto him. Cassidy tries to slam Wardlow into the ring post, but the champion counters.
Wardlow pulls Danhausen out from under the ring, as he was trying to help Cassidy. The challenger blasts Wardlow with an Orange Punch. Back in the ring, Wardlow dumps Cassidy with a belly-to-belly suplex. He throws Cassidy again and takes control of the match. “Freshly Squeezed” rolls out of the ring, trying to evade Wardlow. The champion hits a stalling vertical suplex and sends Cassidy crashing into the corner. Cassidy rallies with a burst of offense and hits a chop block. He goes for the Beach Break, but he can’t lift the big man. Cassidy counters a powerbomb into a DDT and hits another DDT. Wardlow hits the F-10 for a two count. Cassidy reverses a powerbomb into a hurricanrana and dives onto him outside the ring. He shoves the champion into the ring post. Cassidy hits the Stun-dog Millionaire, the Orange Punch and the Beach Break for a near fall. Wardlow counters an Orange Punch into a powerbomb for the win,.

After the match, Wardlow picks Cassidy up and offers a fist bump, which Cassidy accepts.
The show plays a video package of PAC’s successful defense of the AEW All-Atlantic Championship against Shota Umino.
In-Ring Segment: Chris Jericho
Jericho comes to the ring by himself. He says he doesn’t stand there as Chris Jericho the sports entertainer or Chris Jericho the wizard. He says he’s there as Chris Jericho, living legend and Eddie Kingston’s superior. Jericho calls Eddie Kingston confused and brings up their looming Barbed Wire Everywhere Match. He says everything Kingston does, as far as being a friend, turns to mold, as he’s a curse. Kingston notes that Ortiz got his head shaved and Santana is out hurt. Jericho says he took Bryan Danielson out, and he don’t know when he’s coming back. As for Ruby Soho, she got a mangled hand and a crushed career. He says Kingston needs to take better care of his “chicks.” Jericho calls Kingston a mark for Terry Funk, Onita, and Sabu. He points out that he won the first Barbed Wire Match in Canadian history, and he liked the pain.
Jericho says he’s just as sadistic and maniacal as Kingston, but “The Mad King” underestimates that. He says next week, Kingston will be facing The Painmaker. Jericho says he’s accepting the match because this is the final fight in their saga, and once he beats him, Kingston can crawl back into a hole with his substance issues and his mental health issues because he knows he’ll never ne at Jericho’s level. Jericho says the only thing that can wash away his sins is a tidal wave of Kingston’s blood, and he calls Kingston a loser.

Backstage, Eddie Kingston responds by telling Jericho that he can bring The Painmaker or whoever he wants because next week, he’s going to pay. “The Mad King” says he’s going to hurt Jericho, and he’s going to enjoy it.
