The Watch List takes a look at what matches you should be watching while you’re at home and they come recommended by your favorite professional wrestling stars.
WrestleZone recently spoke with Jordynne Grace, who said she’s quite proud of the majority of her work in IMPACT Wrestling. Jordynne highlighted recent bouts with Tasha Steelz and Havok, as well as her Digital Media Championship battle with Matt Cardona as some of the most memorable of the year.
“Honestly, there haven’t been a lot of matches at IMPACT that I’m not proud of that I wouldn’t want fans to watch. There is a match, I believe from last year with me and Tasha Steelz — it was a BTI match, so I don’t really think anybody got the opportunity to watch it, but I f-cking love that match. That match was really, really good to me. It was actually the only BTI match on this list of the top Knockout matches of the year where fans got to vote [for match of the year],” Grace explained. “I think fans should go out of their way to watch that match, especially with what I can only imagine is going to be me and Tasha going forward for a little while for the title.
“I also had my series of matches with Matt Cardona, and we had three really, really good matches, including the first-ever Digital Media Dot Combat match. And that was just a really fun creative match that we put together. I would love for fans to watch that too. I could just go on and on honestly. There’s a match between me and Jessica Havok from a few months ago on IMPACT TV that we had. I love wrestling all the girls and like I said, there’s not a lot of matches that I would tell fans not to go out of their way to see.”
The Dot Combat match featured cell phones, keyboards, computer mice and other items used as weapons. Jordynne noted that she went out and bought some of the old brick-style Nokia phones that ended up being auctioned off after the bout.
“I actually personally went and spent my own money to buy all the cell phones, old school cell phones for that match. And so we sold a bunch of those, too. But yeah, that was a great match. I think fans should go out of their way to watch that, too.”
