Tony Khan Teases ‘Many Injured Stars’ Returning Soon To AEW Dynamite

Tony Khan is excited about the return of “many injured” stars to AEW Dynamite in the coming weeks.

All Elite Wrestling’s president took to Twitter on Thursday to thank fans for tuning in to the June 8th episode of Dynamite. Tony Khan stated, “I appreciate you wrestlers/staff/fans, & excited for *many* injured stars returning” ahead of Road Rager next week and Forbidden Door on June 26.

Khan later tweeted a similar tweet and once again emphasized that “many” stars will be returning without mentioning them coming back from injury.

One name in particular who could potentially return soon includes former AEW World Champion Kenny Omega. He’s been out of action since November when he dropped the title to Hangman Page at Full Gear. In that time, he’s recovered from a number of nagging injuries that he worked through during the busiest point of his career.

The current AEW World Champion CM Punk is out of action after undergoing surgery to repair a broken foot. It’s still unclear how long Punk will be out of action. AEW will crown an interim world champion in the meantime.

Bryan Danielson is also reportedly injured, but is rumored to only be out for a couple of weeks. Orange Cassidy, Anthony Bowens, and Kip Sabian are a few of the other names on the shelf right now, so AEW could be looking at an influx of talent ready to return.
