Gresham retained the title against AJ Gray at GCW Blood on the Hill on December 17. He won the gold at ROH Final Battle: End of an Era, where he defeated Jay Lethal for the gold after the reigning champion, Bandido tested positive for COVID-19 prior to the show.
ROH will go on hiatus during the first quarter of 2022, but Gresham has made it clear that he intends to keep defending the title during this time.
Riccaboni recently announced that he’ll be doing some work for NJPW STRONG during ROH’s hiatus.
WrestleZone will provide more details as they become available.
