Dark matches are a grand tradition in the world of wrestling. They’re meant to send the crowd home happy, give a trial run to new stars, and get everyone on the show. Traditionally, they’ve not been meant for broadcast, but what is AEW if not a company that bucks tradition?
In a tweet earlier today, Cody has announced AEW Dark, a new YouTube series hosted by Tony Schiavone that features matches taped before and after the main AEW: Dynamite program. For this past week’s episode, that would include the following lineup:
- Darby Allin vs. CIMA
- Lucha Bros., Jack Evans, and Angelico vs. Private Party and Best Friends
- Britt Baker and Allie vs. Penelope Ford and Bea Priestley
- Jurassic Express vs. SCU

AEW Dark will pop up on Tuesdays starting this week on AEW’s official YouTube channel. Considering the raucous crowd at the first-ever Dynamite taping, there could be some fun action on the show.
