During tonight’s AEW Double or Nothing pre-show, a Casino Battle Royale was held to determine who would get a title shot against the winner of Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega.
Thanks to the rules of the battle royale, which saw suits of cards determining who would come out, things started a bit slow. However, once the match got going, things quickly devolved into the chaotic environment that a battle royale typically has, with superstars brawling in all parts of the ring.

After a pretty slow start to the entire royale, things quickly picked up when Tommy Dreamer got the crowd going with a handful of takedowns and the use of a trash can lid. However, it was the final entrant, Hangman Page, who came away with a victory in the tightly contested battle royale. After Page and a handful of other superstars were able to clear out the ring, the final three came down to Luchasaurus, Page, and Maxwell Jacob Friedman. With Friedman knocked out of the ring but still legally in the royale, Page knocked out Luchasaurus before nearly being thrown out by Friedman.

Unfortunately for Friedman, Page was able to launch himself back into the ring and get the upper hand on Friedman with a devastating clothesline. With Friedman knocked down, Page was able to throw him out of the ring and claim victory, earning a shot at the title between whoever wins tonight’s main event.
