As of today, Ronda Rousey has officially surpassed Alexa Bliss as the longest reigning RAW Women’s Champion. Holding the title for 223 days, Rousey won the title from Alexa during her third reign at last year’s SummerSlam event. However, that reign wasn’t Alexa’s longest. We’d need to go back to 2017, where Alexa won the belt on Raw from Sash Banks. She held it up until that years WrestleMania, dropping it to Nia Jax.
As an aside, if we’re going by Wikipedia’s count, Rousey still has to wait until tomorrow to celebrate her record-breaking reign. Alexa still has the longest combined reigns with 396 official days. Charlotte Flair is second with 242 days, and Ronda comes in third with her one record-breaking reign.
Rousey will compete with current SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch for the title in the main event of WrestleMania 35 a week from tomorrow.
