With WrestleMania around the corner, it’s a very pivotal time of the year. It’s going to be the event that not only sets the tone going forward, but it makes the direction for the coming year crystal clear. Something feels very different about the build to WrestleMania this year in a good way.
The matches seem fresh, the part-timers are being used well, more superstars are getting opportunities, and we’re witnessing some fantastic storylines unfold before us. However, one thing that’s often marred WrestleMania in the eyes of fans is when WWE has the wrong superstar going over in a match.
Even if the entire PPV is great, one bad result can sour the fans on essentially the entire event. WWE needs to be very careful this year because they’re in a precarious position. There are 2 to 3 stars just waiting to have their breakout moment, and fans are completely behind them.
