According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Lars Sullivan supposed WrestleMania match is in jeopardy. According to Dave, Lars, who’s been promoted heavily in recent months on WWE TV as “coming soon,” was slated to wrestle John Cena At WrestleMania 35.
Sullivan was scheduled for a dark match at RAW, but missed due to a reported anxiety attack. Things were said to be smoothed over, but he also didn’t show up for the SmackDown tapings the next night, and apparently flew home to Colorado.
It’s currently unknown if plans will change or how things will be handled, but Sullivan was in line for a major push with talks of a match at Wrestlemania 35 against John Cena. Meltzer states he was told indirectly that the feud could have started as soon as at the Royal Rumble.
