If there was one word to define Sami Callihan as a performer, it would be “Violence”. Callihan has been involved in the business and very few wrestlers have evolved as a performer the way he has.

Beginning in 2006, it took him about 6 years to get signed by the WWE. Unfortunately, on Callihan’s own admission, it just wasn’t the right time for him. He would spend around three years with the company but wasn’t really given the opportunity to display his talents. He was released, but WWE’s loss turned out to be the indy wrestling scene’s gain.

Callihan, after coming out on the other side, shed his “Solomon Crowe” persona and went back to being Sami Callihan. He would then become one of the hottest superstars in the indie scene, having incredible matches with the best superstars out there. He would gain notoriety for being a hardcore wrestler with a “loose cannon” type of gimmick.

He found great success and since then has had stints with Lucha Underground and Impact Wrestling as well. These turned out to be the perfect platforms to display his talent and skills and he’s never looked back.

What stands out about Callihan is his unpredictability and willingness to do anything it takes for shock value. We now take a look at his five best matches.
