Roman Reigns vs. Big Show
Big Show hits Reigns a few times and they fight outside, then Reigns hits him into the ring post and commentary table.
Big Show counters with some forearm shots and then hits a clothesline. Reigns calls for a Superman punch but Bray Wyatt’s music cues up, and ‘Bray’ is seen on the screen. Reigns knocks the impostor out as he appears and Roman connects with Superman Punches on Big Show and the real Wyatt attacks.Big Show chokeslams him and Wyatt hits Sister Abigail.
We have seen Big Show and Roman time and time again, but the inclusion of Bray Wyatt tonight made it feel much more complete and made sense for the bigger picture. Good work from Wyatt and Reigns, continuing to add pieces to a feud that would be viewed as a mid card match at Battleground. They are two guys who continue to be really good. When will they be really great?
Quick Hits
-So, Titus and Big E do battle with the champion getting the win on Smackdown. Has WWE decided to give the titles back to New Day at Battleground? I think that is going to happen for two reasons.
1. New Day gets more of a reaction, albeit negative, than PTP. 2. Titus and Darren are better at chasing and I feel a swap of these titles over the next few months is good to keep it fresh and interesting. That is, until a new tag team is ready to takeover.
-More strange and odd booking for the Divas. The Bellas defeated Naomi and Tamina. Again, who am I supposed to cheer for? No Paige, no interest.
– Randy Orton comes out and talks about Sheamus. The Ascension comes out and interrupts, only to get hit with some DDT’s and RKO’s for their troubles. It is really good to see Randy Orton back. Even with this very odd and illogical segment, Orton brings a star power back to Smackdown and they desperately needed it tonight.
