Backstage, Ziggler and McIntyre complain about Rollins having the option of having someone in his corner. Angle tells Ziggler that if he takes that out of the contract that means McIntyre will not be allowed in Ziggler’s corner. Ziggler says never mind. That clause in the contract is fine.
In Ring Segment: Roman Reigns
Reigns says he tells himself every day that he has to leave this place better than he found it. Reigns can’t accomplish that as long as Lesnar is here. Lesnar needs to go. Reigns is tired of it so it ends this Sunday at SummerSlam. Reigns is taking back HIS Universal Championship. Reigns is going to send Lesnar so far back the UFC that Lesnar is going to find his head up Dana White’s ass. Paul Heyman walks out and says not to steal a line from someone on Smackdown but “It’s a New Day, Yes it is”. If Heyman was going to steal a line from someone it would be the Usos. The Usos are the future of the tag team division just like Reigns is the future on Raw. Reigns says Heyman must be confused. Reigns wants to see what Heyman has up his sleeve tonight. Heyman says why wait until SummerSlam to make history when Reigns can do it tonight.
Last week, Heyman says Reigns couldn’t beat Lesnar unless. The “unless” is if Heyman was in Reigns corner. If Reigns accepts Reigns will be the next Universal Champion. Heyman tries to shake Regins hand. Reigns says he doesn’t need anything from Heyman. Heyman says he can see the future. Heyman does his normal Lesnar intro for Reigns. Reigns scoffs at it. Heyman tries to shake Reigns hand again. Reigns says Heyman is trying but it’s not good enough. Reigns says he was groomed for this position. Reigns father taught him a lot Heyman is a shark that is drowning. Regins says Heyman is just not worth saving. Reigns tells Heyman good luck on his future endeavors.
Heyman says Reigns is right. Heyman is drowning. Heyman says he is drowning in the knowledge he gained from riding with Reigns’ father and uncle. This one lesson, Sika taught to all his kids in Samoan because he wanted them to understand how important it is. Heyman says something in Samoan. Reigns is shocked. Heyman hands Reigns a piece of paper. Heyman tells Reigns not to give him an answer until Sunday. Heyman sprays Reigns in the face with what must have been a gallon of pepper spray. Lesnar hits the ring and puts Reigns down with a guillotine. Lesnar starts to leave but Lesnar turns around and F5s Reigns.
