3.) Billie Kay and Peyton Royce: SmackDown to RAW
Billie Kay and Peyton Royce are both extremely solid pro wrestlers.
I think Peyton Royce is the star of the IIconics but sadly I thin both women have been portrayed as glorified jobbers on SmackDown Live.
Moving both of them to RAW from SmackDown, IF done right, can accomplish filling two holes in the RAW roster. Other than Alexa Bliss, there are no solid heels on Monday Night RAW. Billie Kay and Peyton Royce can help this flaw by having great matches against fan favorites like Bayley, Liv Morgan, Ember Moon and Sasha Banks. There is a potential feud with The Riott Squad vs The IIconics that could make all four women appear more credible to then RAW audience.
The second potential solution to having Royce and Kay on RAW is that Ronda Rousey will need credible opponents to go through in order to add more dimensions to her character. Ronda Rousey SHOULD face Charlotte at WrestleMania 35 for the WWE Women’s Championship as I have stated HERE.
To make the fans believe in that match, Ronda has to look more like a pro wrestler who is a mainstream superstar and less a superstar who is a part time pro wrestler. Billie Kay and Peyton Royce can be solid obstacles for Ronda to SLOWLY overcome in order to work her way up the mountain that culminates to Charlotte vs WrestleMania 35.
Ideal Scenario: The Iiconics vs The Riott Squad at Evolution.
4.) The Usos: SmackDown Live to RAW
The Usos will go down as one of the greatest tag teams in WWE history.
They have successfully added new wrinkles to their characters which helped the evolution of their tag team. They have also gone as far as they can go on SmackDown Live. SmackDown’s tag team division is loaded. RAWs tag team division is not. From a fan favorite standpoint, all the RAW division has is Bray Wyatt and Matt Hardy which seems like it could, mercifully, be reaching its conclusion.
The Usos could help the fledgling RAW tag team division by instantly having great matches with The B-Team and The Revival. The B Team and The Revival need to matter in order for the RAW Tag Team division to be taken seriously. The Revival looked like a “throwback” tag team during their reign in NXT. Once they both got healthy on RAW, they have looked like two tackling dummies. The Usos could help put on a great series of matches with The B-Team to take them from a comedy duo and to a solid tag team that fans take serious as champions. The Authors of Pain were dominating monsters in NXT, now that they are on RAW they have not had one meaningful moment on television. All three of these teams desperately need to have legit opponents. Having The Usos on RAW will right the ship for the Raw Tag Team Division.
Ideal Scenario: The Revival vs The Usos at Survivor Series 2018.
5.) Chad Gable: RAW to 205 Live
Do you remember when Chad Gable was supposed to be the next Kurt Angle? Wasn’t that a fun time.
It is not working for Chad Gable on Monday Night RAW and I can’t tell if he hasn’t made the most of his opportunities on the main roster. On the one hand, he had excellent main event level matches on SmackDown Live with AJ Styles and formed a solid tag team with Shelton Benjamin. Now that he is on RAW he has been made to look like a jobber to Jinder Mahal and Dolph Ziggler. Chad Gable may not be at a top level when it comes to the “it factor” needed to resonate with the main roster.
It is a shame to see that much in ring talent wasted on a weekly basis. A move to 205 Live can spotlight Gable’s strength, wrestling. He is a wrestler who lets his in ring work be his calling card, so a move to 205 live makes the most sense.
There he can have solid matches with Buddy Murphy, Mustafa Ali and Cedric Alexander. He will have time to let his character find its voice, which is virtually impossible in 5 minute squash matches. 205 Live is much more of an in ring driven product than either of the two main roster shows.
Chad Gable can make 205 Live matter more than it currently does and 205 Live can make Chad Gable matter more than RAW has been able to.
Ideal Scenario: Chad Gable vs Cedric Alexander for the Cruiserweight Championship
