Sasha Banks Vs. Bayley
WWE could decide to milk this program out for three more months and have them wrestle at this historic event. For the time being it appears that the two superstars are getting along again and have reconciled their relationship. A few weeks ago, it appeared as if Bayley was flirting with a heel turn before her and Sasha visited Dr. Shelby at a counseling session. WWE may now have decided to have Sasha be the one who turns heel, with an attack on Bayley lingering in the foreseeable future. Regardless, this historic event must feature these two prominent superstars in one way or another, and this would be the perfect destination to ignite this feud even more.
Trish Stratus Vs. Mickie James w/ Alexa Bliss
Mickie and Trish have already been involved in an exchange on Twitter since the announcement of this event. There is no denying their encounter at WrestleMania 22 and program in 2006 were stellar. Fans also reacted positively to their encounter at the Royal Rumble this year. Trish Stratus was one of the women specifically mentioned for the event on the WWE website and I think it’s safe to assume she will be in action. Alexa Bliss has been involved in some exchanges with Stratus and will be looking for something to do if she drops the title to Rousey. I contemplated the idea that Bliss could either turn on James after she loses, or turn on her causing her to lose, but that would be a recycled story that I doubt is going to take place. The focus on this match will be James and Stratus, with Bliss interfering in some capacity to likely give James a win or else getting herself kicked out from ringside.
