Dean Ambrose has been out of action since December following, per WWE report, a torn triceps injury that he suffered on Monday Night RAW back in December of 2017.  The estimated timetable for his injury is 9 months and with SummerSlam fast approaching it is totally possible that Dean Ambrose could return by August 19, 2018.

Here are my top 5 feuds for Dean Ambrose for when he returns to Monday Night RAW sans Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins. Those are two of the more predictable feuds for Ambrose when he returns and I’d like to get a little more creative.

Kevin Owens

Kevin Owens and Dean Ambrose mesh well together. They have similar sarcastic promo styles and can match ring intensity. Without Sami Zayn, out due to injury, Kevin Owens will be a man without a feud once his angle with Braun Strowman finishes.

I see the story unfolding with Dean Ambrose returning to Monday Night RAW, while in the middle of the ring conducting a promo about how he is glad to be back, Kevin Owens music hits and it becomes the perfect opportunity to be the foil for Ambrose’s return.

These two could have a solid feud while they trade wins. Allowing Ambrose to show some of his potential as an intense and physical wrestler, which has always been lacking.

This is a feud that I could see lasting until TLC in December of this year with both men competing in a TLC match as a final blow off to a feud that breathes new life into Dean Ambrose in the eyes of the fans.

Drew McIntyre

Drew McIntyre isn’t a major player to the mainstream WWE Universe yet but has come back to WWE as a more well-rounded professional wrestler/sports entertainer. He is slowly ascending to the top of Monday Night RAW and is missing a feud to establish him as a main event player.

Imagine a scenario where Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler are teaming up against Seth Rollins on an attack after a possible Seth Rollins vs Drew McIntyre match at SummerSlam. Enter Dean Ambrose to even the score for his friend Seth Rollins.

This opens the door to a feud with Drew McIntyre and Dean Ambrose. Dean Ambrose has always been able to make his opponents seem credible in his matches in WWE. A solid two to three month feud would go a long way in establishing McIntyre as a future star.

The heat that should be on Drew McIntyre by the end of that feud should help establish him as the #2 heel on Monday Night RAW. On the other end of that spectrum, Dean Ambrose can be portrayed as a top player on Monday Night RAW by trading wins and losses with McIntyre.
