5 Possible Feuds For Dean Ambrose Upon His Monday Night RAW Return; Not Including Reigns Or Rollins

Baron Corbin

Baron Corbin is unlikeable. He shouldn’t be likable. For him to continue his run as Constable Corbin he needs to be able to build a negative reaction from the crowds. Corbin can achieve this by playing the fan favorites in difficult scenarios.

Dean Ambrose has the POTIENTIAL to be viewed in the same vein as Stone Cold Steve Austin in his feud with Vince McMahon. Let me clear this up before wrestling fans lose their minds. Ambrose vs. Corbin IS NOT Austin vs. McMahon. What I am saying is Ambrose has traits that Austin did in that feud. Ambrose has the same “every man” appeal as Austin. Corbin is unlikeable just like Vince McMahon was.

This injury could prove to be a blessing in disguise. A superstar coming back completely reinvented. Dean Ambrose could return as the anti-hero fan favorite who is constantly challenging authority. Which we know is a storyline that WWE has done to death with some success and some failure.

A feud with Baron Corbin could solidify both men as major players.

Finn Balor

Finn Balor, more than anyone on the current RAW roster has fallen victim to more of the “start & stop” booking of WWE. Fans keep investing in Finn Balor regardless of WWE’s inability to present him as a major player. One of the bigger problems I have seen with Finn Balor is how his character has been presented. He has yet to have a believable rival.

Dean Ambrose could be that rival.

The fans naturally will cheer a returning Dean Ambrose. This opens the perfect opportunity for Dean Ambrose to break the hearts of all of those cheering fans at the expense of Finn Balor.

The storyline would be Dean Ambrose returning as Finn Balor’s mystery tag team partner on the Monday Night RAW after SummerSlam against the RAW Tag Team Champions. Dean Ambrose turns on Finn Balor in a pivotal part of the match.

This instantly accomplishes two goals: Dean Ambrose is now a top heel on Monday Night RAW and Finn Balor has a rival that he can chase for months. This gives fans a feud that makes both guys look like main event players after their feud ends.

Tyler Breeze

Hear me out before you roll your eyes.

With Fandango on the injured list for up to six months due to a shoulder injury, WWE could build a new star in Tyler Breeze. Breeze was floundering on WWE television after he was called up from NXT, before he struck entertainment gold with The Fashion Police.

When Dean Ambrose returns, his next feud should accomplish two goals, reestablish Ambrose and give his first immediate opponent credibility.

Tyler Breeze, the arrogant pretty boy heel, versus Dean Ambrose, the everyman who wrestles in a tank top and jeans. This is the traditional heel vs. fan favorite feud that has shown to work since the beginning of pro wrestling.

You can at least build a quick feud with Breeze and Ambrose. Have Dean Ambrose get a win over Breeze during his return PPV match. A second match would give Breeze a cheap traditional heel win on the next PPV.  This sets up the rubber match that Ambrose wins. If done correctly, Dean Ambrose looks like a top player and Tyler Breeze looks like someone we should take serious moving forward.
