In Ring Segment: Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler
Ziggler says he did everything he said he was going to do last night at Extreme Rules. Move over Robert Downey Jr., Ziggler IS Iron Man! Ziggler says the IC title main eventing a PPV for the first time in 17 years. That sure as hell wasn’t because of Rollins. Ziggler says he respects everything Rollins did to make this title what it is today. Ziggler says he beat Rollins five times. Bobby Roode interrupts. Roode says if it wasn’t for Mcintyre Ziggler wouldn’t be in the ring bragging right now. If it wasn’t for McIntyre Ziggler would be at some comedy club telling bad jokes. Ziggler asks Roode how fun it was watching him from the sidelines. Roode says the sidelines suck. Roode says that’s why he is out here right now. Roode challenges Ziggler to an IC title match right now. Ziggler shakes his head no. Roode asks if Ziggler thinks he can’t do it on his own. Ziggler tells a referee to get out here right now.
JoJo starts to announce the title match. Ziggler stops her and says he agreed to give Roode a match, not a title match.
Bobby Roode vs Dolph Ziggler
roode tries the Glorious DDT. Ziggler avoids it. Roode takes Ziggler down with a side headlock. Ziggler backs Roode into the corner. Ziggler kicks Roode in the gut and locks in a side headlock of his own. Roode fights to his feet and sends Ziggler out of the ring. Roode sends Ziggler into the barricade, then back into the ring. Ziggler backs up. Ziggler trips Roode out of the ring. Roode runs back into the ring but eats a dropkick in the process. Roode kicks out. Roode fires up and clotheslines Ziggler. Ziggler sends Roode face-first into the turnbuckle. After the break, Ziggler locks in the sleeper hold. Roode rolls out of it. Roode suplexes Ziggler. Running corner clothesline by Roode. Blockbuster by Roode. Ziggler counters the Glorious DDT into a pin. After a series of pin attempts, Ziggler hits the Zig Zag. Roode kicks out at 2.9. Ziggler calls for the Superkick. Roode slingshots Ziggler into the corner. Spine buster by Roode. Ziggler kicks out. Ziggler tries another Zig Zag. Roode blocks it. Ziggler tries the leaping DDT. Roode tosses Ziggler away. Ziggler kicks Roode in his injured knee. Ziggler Superkicks Roode for the win.
