Number One Contender’s Gauntlet Match: Daniel Bryan vs Rusev vs The Miz vs Big E. vs Samoa Joe
Daniel Bryan and Big E. start the match. Bryan grabs a side headlock. Big E. tosses Bryan across the ring. Bryan and Big E. do the test of strength. Big E. tosses Bryan again. Big E. runs over Bryan. After a leapfrog, Bryan picks Big E.’s leg and puts him in a surfboard dragon sleeper. Big E. punches his way out of it. Bryan lays in a few kicks., Bryan starts to work over Big E.’s arm. Big E. surprises Bryan with a belly-to-belly suplex. Bryan rolls out to the apron. Big E. splashes Bryan on the apron. After the break, Bryan misses a top rope diving headbutt. Big E. gets a near fall. Big E. puts Bryan in a Canadian backbreaker. Bryan escapes and blasts Big E. with a clothesline. Bryan drop toe holds Big E. into the middle turnbuckle.
Bryan lays in a few kicks. Bryan hurricanranas Big E. off the top rope. Bryan hits hit corner running dropkicks. Bryan tries it again but Big E. turns Bryan inside out with a clothesline. Big E. drops Bryan with a Canadian backbreaker into a backbreaker. Bryan kicks out. Big E. puts Bryan in the stretch muffler. Bryan reverses it into a Yes! Lock attempt. Big E. blocks it. Bryan transitions into a triangle. Big E. picks Bryan up but Bryan rolls into a heel hook attempt. Big E. gets to the ropes. Big E. sends Bryan out to the apron. Big E. spears Bryan through the ropes. Big E. sends Bryan back into the ring. Big E. tries the Big Ending. Bryan escapes and hits the busaiku knee for the win!
Big E. has been eliminated. Samoa Joe is the next entrant.
