Match #4 – Angelico vs. Mark Andrews
Both of these guys are extremely over, which is hardly a surprise – both have an unbelievable amount of potential. There are no heel or face dynamics in this one: just two guys who respect each other, trying to progress into the next round (pun not intended). We’re at a stalemate early on with both men cancelling each other out with counter after counter. Eddie Dennis, the former tag team partner of Mark Andrews, comes out and sits in the front row which Andrews clearly isn’t a fan of. The crowd chant “where’s your ticket” which, you know, is a valid point.
Angelico is fed up of the stoppage and gets back to work as the match resumes. The two men trade big moves as a hurricanrana is followed up by a delightful standing Red Arrow of sorts by Andrews, with the lucha style being on full display to the delight of the fans. Wow! A 619 to the ribs from Andrews is followed up by a hard right as Angelico sends Mark virtually into the front row. Towards the end of the match Andrews went for his finisher, only for a distraction from Dennis to allow Angelico to take advantage and get the win with a wicked Celtic Cross to the turnbuckle.
