Match #3 – TK Cooper vs. David Starr
‘Ooh, ah David Starr’ rings around Alexandra Palace – it’s fair to say he’s the fan favourite in this one. TK Cooper attacks him before the bell to get this started, but a hard forearm from Starr soon restores balance to the universe. It’s strong style city with these two nailing each other with some huge shots, but TK seems to be controlling the pace of the match thus far. The fans, however, aren’t quite as receptive with some un-PG chants for Cooper.
These two are at the point of exhaustion after some fun exchanges with stiff chops, headbutts, and even a scissors kick from Cooper. He keeps coming with a lovely 450, but it only gets a two-count. Starr spots an opportunity after that, however, hitting a brainbuster for the three count. As an underdog fighting against the odds, you won’t find many better than Starr right now.
