Match #2 – Chuck Mambo vs. Zack Sabre Jr
After the crowd descends into beachball anarchy for Chuck Mambo, we get underway with both guys getting great reactions. ZSJ puts on a technical clinic to kick us off, because of course he does, but Mambo’s unorthodox style gets the fans right back on board as he executes a huge dive from the top rope to the outside. Mambo ties Sabre Jr up in a knot but Zack manages to work his way out of it into a submission of his own, popping the crowd hard.
ZSJ toys with Mambo for a while but Chuck’s bursts of high-flying action continue to keep him in the contest, and it feels like it could go either way. Chuck goes for an audacious flog splash but ZSJ gets his knees up, but his Soccer Kick gets a near-two. The two engage in a back and forth chopfest until Mambo goes for the roll-up, but ZSJ counters, submitting Mambo after a phenomenally entertaining clash of styles.
