NJPW Results: 11/30 World Tag League (Sami Callihan, Jeff Cobb, War Machine, K.E.S & More Do Battle In Korakuen)

SIXTH MATCH: B Block Match: Guerrillas of Destiny (Tama Tonga & Tanga Loa) (4) vs. David Finlay & Katsuya Kitamura (0)

As has been the case all night, the Young Lion came to prove himself. After a strong showing in the match’s start, Kitamura spent the majority of the match taking a beating from the sons of Haku. He wasn’t alone, David Finlay also took a beating. This one sided contest came to a merciful close when Tanga Loa hit Apes*** on Katsuya for the pinfall.

WINNERS: Guerrillas of Destiny (6)

SEVENTH MATCH: B Block Match: CHAOS (Toru Yano & Tomohiro Ishii) (2) vs. Togi Makabe & Henare (0)

Yano removed the blue corner pad early, so that he and Ishii could use the exposed corner to wear down Henare. After an initial beatdown from Yano & Ishii, Henare tagged in Makabe, who had an awkward exchange with Yano and then tagged Henare back in. The story of the match then became Henare vs. Ishii. The New Zealander put up a good fight, but with the sneaky Yano finding new advantages for his partner, Henare was at a disadvantage from the bell. Henare got a spear for a nearfall, and kept himself alive during a relentless assault but fell to a Brainbuster from Ishii.

WINNERS: CHAOS (4)

EIGHTH MATCH: B Block Match: The Besties (Chuckie T & Beretta) (4) vs. Jeff Cobb & Michael Elgin (4)

Chuckie T spent the start of the match going toe-to-toe with Michael Elgin. It does not go well. Neither does Trent’s period of time being thrown like a ragdoll by Jeff Cobb. After their beating, the best friends begin to pick up some steam, hitting some serious double team moves, including stereo planchas. The match was a surprisingly back and forth affair, with Chuckie T the scrappy star of the bout. Where Cobb kept finding new ways to throw people, Chuckie had slick ways out of the way, even hitting a powerbomb on Michael Elgin. Elgin & Cobb continue to be a truly innovative strong-man duo. Their tag moves ranged from stalling suplexes that saw their opponents passed back and forth or a spectacular top rope superplex followed by a standing moonsault. These two are truly having a stellar run as a rookie tag team, and it must be seen to be believed. Alas, Beretta reversed a powerbomb from Cobb into STRONG ZERO for the pinfall.

WINNERS: Besties (6)
