WWE Smackdown Results (7/25): Chris Jericho Returns, Huge Triple Threat Main Event For the US Title, John Cena Challenges Jinder Mahal

Aiden English & Mike Kanellis vs. Sami Zayn & Tye Dillinger

Most of the match was worked during the commercial break. When they came back the heels were in total control, assuming some interference from Maria during the break. Zayn was the one being worked over and the slowly built towards the hot tag. Dillinger came in on fire, throwing right hands and strikes everywhere. He gave English a series of mounted punches in the corner, rolled over an attack from Kanellis and tagged back in Sami. English took the Helluva Kick for the pin.

Winners: Sami Zayn & Tye Dillinger

– The New Day got ready to make their entrance, but were jumped from behind by The Usos. They threw Xavier Woods out onto the ramp and choked him out, then threw the recovering Kingston hard into the edge of the entrance set. The Usos dragged Kofi up the ramp but Big E is back to save the day! Just kidding… He got laid out with back to back superkicks. Referees came out to break up the fight but the damage had already been done, and the former champions left with smiles on their faces.

– Shinsuke Nakamura was asked how he’s feeling about facing John Cena in a dream match next week on Smackdown. Nakamura told Cena that next week he won’t be able to see him, which means he’ll see Jinder Mahal at SummerSlam for the WWE Championship.
