AJ STYLES, RANDY ORTON & SAMI ZAYN vs. JINDER MAHAL, KEVIN OWENS & BARON CORBIN
Styles started out the match going back and forth with Baron Corbin. Zayn made the tag for the babyfaces and got the old “Ole!” chant, as he tossed Jinder with a headscissors takedown. Owens tagged in and went right after his career-long rival, but Zayn turned it around on him and threw mounted punches in the corner as the fans chanted along. Owens crotched him on the top rope, turning the tide for his team as they started to work over the underdog. The heels took turns beating down Sami, alternating in with quick tags as they went to the final commercial break of the night.
After the break, Corbin slammed Zayn hard into the corner, then decked the WWE Champion off the apron. Sami tried for a sunset flip but turned it into a hot tag instead. AJ Styles came in on fire, clearing the apron. He tried for the Styles Clash on Corbin, but turned it into the Calf Crusher. Owens broke it up and the obligatory six-man brawl broke out, with Zayn flying over the ropes to take down everyone. Styles tried for the Phenomenal Forearm, but KO pulled his feet out from under him to save his partners.
After things finally settled down, Corbin launched AJ with a huge back body drop. Jinder tagged in and continued working him over with stomps and rest holds, slowing the pace of the match temporarily. Owens tagged back in and kept up the pressure on his Backlash challenger, screaming “it’s my title” at him through a side headlock. He went for a senton but Styles got his knees up and made the hot tag to Randy Orton, who cleaned house on everyone. Orton dropped Owens and Corbin with the Hangman’s DDT, then went after the Bollywood Boys and ran into a big boot from the challenger. Zayn hit the Blue Thunder Bomb on Jinder, Owens took out Sami with a pop-up powerbomb, Orton took out Owens with an RKO, and Jinder recovered to plant Orton with the Cobra Clutch slam, pinning the WWE Champion. Winners: Jinder Mahal, Kevin Owens & Baron Corbin
