WWE Smackdown Results (5/9): Huge 6-Man Tag Team Match, Nakamura Arrives in London, Lynch vs Natalya

THE FASHION POLICE vs. THE ASCENSION

In talking about how much chemistry The Usos had as a tag team, Tom Phillips said “they’ve known each other since birth”, immediately prompting JBL to yell “THEY’RE TWINS!” The match itself only lasted about two minutes. The Ascension bullied their way through Breeze, who tagged out to Fandango and quickly put away the big lads with a top rope leg drop. Winners: The Fashion Police

The Usos came out to the ramp and cut an insane promo, screaming back and forth about what they were going to do in 12 days at WWE Backlash. It was somewhat reminiscent of an old cocaine rocket-fueled Ultimate Warrior promo, and made very little sense, but had a heck of a lot of intensity.

Backstage Segment: Story Time w/ Mojo

Mojo Rawley was touring a bunch of kids around backstage, for some reason. He sat them all down and told them a story about how he (it might have been Andre the Giant actually, it wasn’t super clear) was bullied as a kid for being different. He then introduced them to his friend…the Andre the Giant statue he won at WrestleMania.

Pre-Recorded Segment: Rusev’s Revenge

Rusev is still angry that he hasn’t heard anything from Smackdown Live management since declaring that he wouldn’t show up to the show unless he was given a title match. He said he’s coming to Smackdown Live next week, and will get an answer one way or another.
