WWE Smackdown Results (4/25): Naomi Defends Women’s Title Against Charlotte, Beat the Clock Challenge, Jinder Mahal Makes a Statement

[cont. from the previous page]

When we come back from the break, Rowan is somehow inexplicably in total control of the match, leveling him with splashes in the corner. They show footage from the break where Orton sent him into the steel steps as a receipt from earlier in the match, making it all the more confusing that Rowan is dominating the match again. He grabs the kendo stick again and heads back into the ring, but Orton catches him with the Hangman’s DDT and sets up for the RKO. Rowan counters the RKO and hits a shot from the kendo stick, and once again they brawl to the floor. The big man grabs the steel steps and blasts Orton, laying him out, and grabs a steel chair to finish things off. He sets up the chair in between the ropes in the corner, but Orton sidesteps and sends him crashing through it. Rowan turns around into the RKO, and that’s all she wrote.

Winner: Randy Orton

After the match, Orton says that he doesn’t know what a House of Horrors match is, but he has a feeling on Sunday that he’s going to find out. I mean…yeah, you’re wrestling in one, so I hope so. Orton says the match will not be his purgatory, but will be Bray Wyatt’s eternal hell.

Jinder Mahal interrupts the champion, and is pissed that he’s being overlooked. He says that Orton shouldn’t be worried about Bray Wyatt, because he is the true horror. He rants about having more class, culture, wealth and talent than anyone in the building, and says that Orton disrespects him just because he looks different. He says he feels disrespected because of Orton’s arrogance and his lack of tolerance, but will take back his respect at Backlash for him and his people. He then starts cutting a promo for his people in Punjabi, and tries to take a cheap shot on the champion, but Orton saw it coming. They brawl and Orton tries for the Hangman’s DDT, but the Bollywood Boyz run out to make the save for their leader. Jinder hits a Cobra Clutch Slam and walks away holding the WWE Championship.
