Jerry “The King” Lawler –
Before the women’s revolution there were revolutionary women. None more deserving than our next inductee.
Natalya-
Natalya tells the crowd to follow her cat on Instagram @TwoPaws. Tonight she gets to induct her best friend into the WWE Hall of Fame. She doesn’t know what magic made this happen but this is destiny. The thing most people don’t know is this all started with the World’s Strongest Man, Mark Henry. The first time Natalya met Henry he said to her that she reminds her so much of Beth Phoenix. He didn’t say hello, that was the first thing he said. On Myspace, Phoenix reached out to Natalya and said she wanted to be a wrestler because of her two uncles- Bret and Owen Hart. Phoenix says Owen was her inspiration. When Natalya finally met Phoenix, she should up wearing the same outfit as Natalya. Both Natalya and Phoneix wanted to grow up to kick ass, and they did. Through all their triumphs. Phoenix wanted the spotlight to be on Natalya. To this day, Natalya believes that Phoenix was a gift from her uncle Owen. Phoenix is her best friend and her destiny.
Beth Phoenix-
Before she can get started, Phoenix starts crying. She threatens to put the crowd in time out because she is a mom now and she will totally do it. They say that you never forget your first love and her first love is wrestling. Phoenix thanks her grandmother for getting her into wrestling. It wasn’t until WrestleMania 10 when she watched Owen and Bret Hart battle. At that moment she realized that is what she wanted to do. Phoenix names a bunch of people in her life who stood beside her as she wanted to become a wrestler. Phoenix notes that as she went for her tryout with WWE she opened the door and smacked right into Brock Lesnar. At that point, she lost all confidence. As she continued to work and was helped by various WWE Hall of Famers and Superstars. During her training, she became friends with Nora (Molly Holly). Nora gave her a box full of ring gear so she could look like a legit pro wrestler. When she went on to train with Danny Davis, Nora paid Phoenix’s tuition so she could continue training. That is just the type of women that Nora is. Phoenix thanks Paul Heyman for believing in her. Phoenix also calls out Tommy Dreamer for being the champion of the little guy.
