AJ Styles & Kane Backstage Segment:
Styles is still in the back looking for a partner. Styles runs into Kane. The face that runs the place needs a tag team partner. The Phenomenal One and the Devil’s Favorite Demo that has a good ring to it. Kane laughs at Styles and walks out.
Heath Slater’s Contract Signing:
SmackDown is all about opportunities. Shane wants to single out one individual and he took advantage of it and that’s Heath Slater. He became one half of the inaugural SmackDown Tag Team Champions this past Sunday at Backlash. Now he’s earned a spot on the blue brand roster. Shane introduces Heath Slater. Slater comes down to the ring with Rhyno. Shane is a man of his word and they have some official business to get down to. Slater signs the contract.
Slater wants to thank Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan for making this happen. He wants to thank his wife Beulah and tells her that we are moving to a double wide. Heath thanks Rhyno. There was a lot of talk that he could do it on his own but he did not think he could. Rhyno is his friend, he is his partner, and they are SmackDownTag Team Champions. They will take on anyone, anywhere, and any place. Slater wants to thank his kids. The Ascension comes out to interrupt Heath Slater and Rhyno Konnor says anyplace, how about here. Viktor says anytime, how about now. They suggest anyone and it is them. Slater declines The Ascension’s offer. Shane likes the idea and gets everything out of the ring for a match.
