WWE Summerslam Results (8/23) – New Champions Crowned, Rollins vs Cena, Taker vs Lesnar!

King Barrett & Stardust 

vs Stephen Amell & Neville 

Neville score a few strikes before Stardust calls for a tag, and asks Amell to get in the match. Amell springboards in and gets in his face, then Stardust shoves him back and taunts him. Amell kips up and kicks Stardust in the chest, then he counters a backdrop and hits Stardust before hiptossing him. Wade tags in as Stardust looks a bit surprised by Amell’s ability, and Wade kicks him in the corner and taunts the crowd. Wade lifts him for a powerslam but Amell leapfrogs him, only to have Wade turn and kick him before tagging out.

Stardust tags back in and they work him over in the corner, but Amell comes back with an enziguiri before Neville gets the tag. Neville connects with several kicks and knocks Wade down, then he hits a corkscrew splash off the middle turnbuckle before Stardust breaks up the pin. Neville knocks him outside and Amell runs in, and splashes both Stardust and Wade from the top turnbuckle! Amell rolls Wade in, and Neville hits Red Arrow for the win. 

Winners – Stephen Amell & Neville 

It might be the comic fan in me, or I was just expecting more out of it, but Amell’s entrance was a little underwhelming. I thought they might do something related to Arrow, but he just wore the hood. With that said, he was impressive in what he showed. He’s in great shape and some knew he’d be athletic enough to work a match. He had a few nice spots, including the splash and the enziguiri. Neville gets a big win, and Stardust and Wade also worked their roles well.
