Owens runs in towards the end but Sami hits him a few times and chases him away. After a few more offensive moves and a pin attempt from Sami to Kidd, Owens runs back in and attacks Sami, so the ref rings the bell for the disqualification. Owens then powerbombs Sami as the fans chant loser at him, and Owens asks if he looks like a loser, so the fans chant ‘biggest loser’ as Owens stands over Sami and leaves.
Notes:
There was no announcement of a the tournament finals, Tag Team Title rematch or Corbin versus Dempsey III for the Takeover, but it may be announced at a later date or during a pretaped segment.
The taping was well organized and paced, and didn’t see any major issues. The main event matches of each show were given enough time, and the crowd was into it the whole time.
JoJo (Total Divas) was handling the ring announcer duties, and flubbed the announcement of the tournament semifinal matches. She incorrectly announced Balor/Neville and Corbin/Itami, but quickly caught the error and hyped the correct ones. The fans joked about her mishap, and got a smile from her.
Some of the funnier chants of the night were “Awkward Silence”, “Better Than Batista”, “Total Diva” (at Tyler Breeze) and “Biggest Loser”.
