7/22 WWE Main Event Results: Battleground Rematch, Seth Rollins vs. Fandango, Kofi Kingston Teams w/ Big E & More

-We get a recap of Rusev beating Jack Swagger at Battleground. I guess this program ISN’T over.

-Dean Ambrose vs. Cesaro in a No Disqualification match has been announced for Smackdown as well.

 Rusev vs. Jack Swagger

Lots of “let’s go Swagger” chants to start this match. Swagger tries for suplexes on the big man, but can’t quite pull it off. Rusev bullies Jack for several minutes until getting dumped to the outside, as a loud “USA” chant breaks out, heading into a commercial break. After the break, Rusev has Swagger in a headlock that lasts several minutes. A “we the people” chant breaks out and Swagger breaks the hold. He gets his boots up in the corner and lands a few stiff right hands, followed by a mean clothesline. Running knee to the mid-section followed by a running powerslam for a two-count. He goes for the Swagger Bomb but Rusev gets his foot up – Swagger catches his ankle and puts on the Patriot Lock! Rusev pulls himself to the bottom rope to break the hold, after a few moments. He rolls to the outside to catch his breath, but Swagger follows and puts the Patriot Lock on, on the floor. Rusev hits him with the Russian flag to cause a disqualification.

Winner: Jack Swagger (by DQ)

-Rusev takes the flag into the ring and tries to attack Swagger with it, but Zeb Colter steals the flag. Swagger with a big boot that rocks Rusev and sends him into retreat up the ramp. They have a wave-off of the two flags, and the Real Americans stand tall to end Main Event.

KILLAM: I really, really good show tonight. The main event was quite possibly better than the Battleground match. The tag match showed a ton of development from a brand new team (possibly two new teams, actually), and the opening singles match was short, but very good. I wish RAW moved this quickly, and was consistently this enjoyable.
