Eve Torres Defeats Layla To Retain The WWE Divas Championship

What I Liked:

Interesting, they let the Divas work an actual match. Even though it was slow and calculated, I enjoyed it. I will give credit where credit is due. They had time, an actual build inside each move, and worked with one another in many facets. We saw submission, grappling, and more focus on actual executing moves. From time to time, we rarely see the Divas get a chance to work on the transition moves, but we saw it here. I was happy to see they received enough time to work on one another, and it leaves an opening for Layla to get another shot. The end was "controversial" but done appropriately.

Grade: B

Team Rhodes Scholars Defeats Primo and Epico

What I Liked:

Instead of the finals, we get this pairing. I still appreciate what Primo and Epico do in the ring, but this was all about their opponents. It was a basic squash match with Rhodes and Sandow getting the bulk of the offense. Rey Mysterio has the flu, and it could not come at a worse time. Sandow looks extremely aggressive each time he enters the ring, and hits new highs each night. Rhodes is so smooth in the ring, and really has a great variety of offense. These are a few reasons why I love watching him compete.

What I Disliked:

Primo and Epico… heels or faces? I honestly do not know.

Kofi Kingston Defeats The Miz

What I Liked:

Well, it looks like they will fight multiple times in the next few weeks. This match was the perfect taste of what to expect. Kofi was grounded early and often, with The Miz using clotheslines and basic stomps to slow down the athletic opponent. I love the diving clothesline, and how The Miz is able to really be unorthidoxed. He is not a technicial, nor a powerhouse, but a nice combination of many things. He is reminiscent of the way Jericho works in the ring. Kofi hits a beautiful Trouble in Paradise out of nowhere, and gets the pin.

What I Disliked:

Isn't this supposed to main event WWE Main Event on Wednesday? All I can think of is Miz will win, and then the third bout will be at Hell in a Cell.

Grade: B+

His life outside of his obsession with wrestling include being a savant for Seinfeld, NFL, NBA, MLB and many television shows. He also has an undying love for musicals, which includes many shows he was a part of in high school. Some of his favorite wrestling moments can be linked to such superstars as Edge, The Rock, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and The Great Khali.
