Brock pulls Cena over the ropes and hits a few stiff shots, then Cena tries to make a comeback but Brock throws him into the ring steps. Brock throws the ref back in the ring, then Cena crawls in with the chain, but Brock picks it up and throws it away. Cena goes for an AA, but Brock counters with a F-5 only to hit the referee again on the way down. Another referee runs out to make the count but Cena kicks out, then Brock kicks the ref out of the ring and brings the ring steps inside. Brock stands on the steps and taunts Cena, but Cena does his 'You Can't See Me' taunt and goes back after him.
Brock puts him in a kimura lock on the steps, but Cena stands up and slams him on the steps before going up top. Cena misses a top rope legdrop and rolls outside, then Brock taunts him while standing on the steps. Brock leaps over the steps and knees Cena in the head, but he falls over the top rope with Cena and laughs when he gets back up. Cena wraps it on his hand and gets on the apron, then Brock runs at him but Cena hits him in the face and hits an AA on the steps to win.
Cena gathers himself before picking up a mic, and he says he hopes this makes the broadcast because he thinks his boss may see fit to fire him after this. He says he took a beating but he is glad it was here because Chicago is a CM Punk town, but it is also a wrestling town and they saw the extreme. Cena says all of them give their all for the fans, and if he is taking a vacation he wants to thank them eventhough they might not like him. The fans cheer him and he says if he is going out he wouldn't want it any other way, then he thanks the fans and tells them to get home safe before leaving.
