WWE legend Hulk Hogan is set to be profiled in a new documentary that features his final interview.
Netflix revealed details about Hulk Hogan: Real American, the “limited” documentary series premiering on April 22.
Netflix revealed an initial synopsis and trailer for the series, which features Hogan’s last recorded interview before his untimely death in July 2025.
“Before he was Hulk Hogan, he was Terry Bollea. Uncover the man behind the legend — featuring his very last interview,” the official synopsis said.
Netflix first announced details about its Hulk Hogan documentary in late 2025
Netflix Vice President of Sports Gabe Spitzer told John Ourand of The Varsity that Netflix filmed 20 hours’ worth of interviews with Hogan before his passing.
“We’re still doing many seasons of Drive to Survive. We have America’s Sweethearts on the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. Outside of that, there are incredible other docs coming. Hulk Hogan, Mike Tyson, Deion Sanders. There are plenty of good ones still out there. Hulk Hogan, we had been filming with Hogan for 20 hours around the time of when he passed. We think that can be a good one.”
It’s unclear how much of the recorded interview footage with Hogan will be in the final feature. Netflix did not announce a total run time for Real American.
Months after his passing, Hulk Hogan continues to be honored by the wrestling world. Hogan and Andre the Giant’s iconic WrestleMania III match was recently announced as the “Immortal Moment” inductee for the 2026 WWE Hall of Fame.
