AEW’s Mercedes Moné Shares In-Ring Return Update

AEW star Mercedes Moné has finally explained why she has been off TV. The former TBS Champion hasn’t appeared on AEW programming since early January, and many wondered if it was part of a storyline or something more serious. Now, Moné has given an update on her in-ring return. She revealed that the break was all about healing.

At first, her absence was loosely connected to on-screen tension, which made it seem like it could be part of a bigger story. But The CEO recently shared that the real reason was medical.

Mercedes Moné Is Getting Stem Cell Therapy Treatment in Mexico

Moné traveled to Cancun, Mexico, for stem cell treatment at Rejuva Stem. She said she has been using the time off to focus fully on her health so she can return at her best. The CEO said on her Instagram story,

“So, I’ve been really trying to enjoy this time off by really healing my body and taking care of myself because I want to come back to the ring better than ever. I’m going to be very busy in March, because I still have a lot of championships to defend. Yes, I defend my titles b*tches. But I have just been really taking this time to feel good, and I really want to feel good inside and outside.”

She also shared that the treatments have helped her back and neck a lot. According to Moné, she feels more aligned and refreshed than she has in years.

“If you saw a couple of my videos at the House of Sun. Oh my god, my back, my neck feel so amazing. I’ve never felt my spine just feel so straight. Now, I’m here in Cancun, Mexico, for stem cell treatment. I came down to Rejuva Stem because a lot of my co-workers came down here and told me about their results, so I’m super excited for feeling my best version of myself,” she said.

Moné confirmed she will be very active next month, with several title defenses planned. One of those is the CMLL Women’s World Championship, which she won last June in Mexico.

CMLL has announced that Moné will defend the title on March 6 at La Noche De Las Amazonas, an all-women’s event. Her challenger hasn’t been revealed. The CEO also has several international bookings lined up. Nevertheless, fans can be rest assured that Mercedes Mone will be putting her best foot forward.
