Nikki and Brie Bella are not taking their WWE return lightly. As they prepare for what they have called their final run, the twins are training in their backyard, making sure they are ready for the challenge. After Brie Bella’s comeback in the 2026 Women’s Royal Rumble, the Bella Twins returned to WWE’s women’s tag team division.
The twins recently shared that they have gone all in on preparation, even buying a wrestling ring for their backyard. The twins want to prepare optimally, as the women’s division has changed a lot since their last full-time run.
And helping them is none other than one of the most respected minds in wrestling, AEW star and Brie’s husband, Bryan Danielson.
Brie confirmed that Danielson has aided in getting her back into ring shape. Her last match was in the 2022 Women’s Royal Rumble. Speaking on Notsam Wrestling Live!, Brie praised Danielson’s coaching, “Obviously, my husband might be one of the greatest coaches in the world…and he is a very hard coach,” Brie said.

Danielson is training both sisters, working with them on conditioning, timing, and overall in-ring performance. Most of these sessions happen in their backyard ring while their kids are at school. This allows them to balance their family life and training.
At the Crisco Kidd Block Party, Nikki explained how different this run feels compared to the past.
“We are going into this so beyond prepared. We bought a ring. When kids are in school, we are training. We knew…we can only be the best versions of ourselves if it’s pretty much in our backyard. That’s to be good parents, to be good at our jobs, it all has to be within a few miles of each other,” Nikki said.
She added that they are training daily, watching footage, and pushing themselves harder than before.
“We are training every day, we bought our own ring, like Brie said, watching a lot of footage, really knowing who we are, not only as our characters but as athletes, and pushing our limits because we know it’s gonna be our final. And we don’t want to look back and go, ‘Gosh, what if we just trained a little harder, or if we learnt this a little better?’ We are really studying the women because we want it to be like, ‘Yes, the Bellas are back, but it’s the Bellas fit in this era. And that’s why they are going to be champs,” Nikki concluded.
Although Brie might not be a full-time wrestler, both sisters are treating this chapter seriously, knowing it could be their last stint in the squared circle.
