Brody King Sends Message After Squashing MJF on AEW Dynamite

Brody King didn’t just beat AEW World Champion MJF on Dynamite; he squashed him.

Over the past few weeks, Brody King and MJF had been trading shots. Things finally escalated last week on AEW Dynamite. It was confirmed that King would challenge MJF in an AEW World title eliminator match.

If King won, he’d earn a future title shot against MJF at AEW Grand Slam Australia. Before the match even happened, MJF took to X, formerly known as Twitter, he laughed off the idea that he was scared and bragged that the only thing worrying him was how long he’d have to hold the AEW World Title. He then dropped a spoiler promising to beat Brody King in under two minutes.

Instead, the complete opposite happened on Dynamite. The match got off to a wacky start when Hangman Page interrupted MJF for a while. King seized his opportunity right away, attacking the champion fiercely.

Brody King made quick work of MJF

In less than two minutes, we saw a decisive finisher as he utterly crushed MJF with a cannonball in the corner after choking him, dumped him to the floor, and finished things with the Gonzo Bomb pin.

After the bell, mayhem broke out. King, who was posing with the AEW World Championship, was hit with a big back elbow by Andrade El Idolo. After that, MJF was also on the receiving end of a blow before Hangman Page came in.

Page looked for another on MJF, but the champion narrowly avoided it. King then re-entered the fray, planting MJF with a piledriver and standing tall with the title. Following his dominant win, King circled back to MJF. He replied directly to the champion’s earlier tweet, he wrote, “2 minutes huh?”

With King now officially earning a shot at the AEW World Championship, all eyes turn to Grand Slam Australia.
