Jacob Fatu is back on WWE SmackDown.
The main event of SmackDown in Berlin saw Cody Rhodes defend the Undisputed WWE Championship against Drew McIntyre in a Three Stages of Hell match.
During the closing moments, McIntyre attempted to escape the steel cage through the door. But instead, Drew was met by a hooded figure. The individual removed his mask, revealing himself as Jacob Fatu. A stunned McIntyre then tried to escape by climbing the cage. However, he was stopped in his tracks by the Samoan Werewolf.
After dealing with the Scottish Warrior, Fatu turned his attention to Cody Rhodes. Capitalizing on the distraction, McIntyre found his opening and escaped the cage through the door. In doing so, McIntyre became the new Undisputed WWE Champion.
Fatu had been mysteriously taken out backstage months ago ahead of his number one contender’s match against McIntyre on WWE television and was subsequently written off programming for a dental procedure.
Jacob Fatu now appears to have made an enemy out of Rhodes after inadvertently costing him the Undisputed WWE Championship on SmackDown in Berlin. With the Scottish Warrior once again at the top of his game, fans will have to wait and see who steps up to challenge him at the Royal Rumble.
