CM Punk Has Minor Wardrobe Issue On WWE RAW

CM Punk successfully defended his WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Bron Breakker on WWE Raw this week, but not without taking some damage in the process.

Amidst their clash over the world title, Punk struck “The Oracle” Paul Heyman in the face, causing him to fall off the ring apron. Seeing Breakker charge at him when he turned around, Punk then quickly sidestepped and lined up for a dive through the ropes. Upon taking flight, however, Breakker decked him with a forearm.

At that same moment, Punk’s right shoe seemingly exploded, leaving the front part to awkwardly dangle off his foot as Punk positioned himself for the next spot — a crash through the announce table.

With one good shoe left, Punk managed to finish the match by countering Breakker’s spear with a knee, then laying out the second-generation wrestler with a GTS for the win. Moments later, fans saw Punk standing on the second rope in celebration, though with his right foot covered by only a sock.

As of now, it is unknown if Punk’s shoe can be repaired or if the damage was fatal. Nevertheless, he walked out of Raw still as the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Even though he picked up the win, Punk still dropped the world title, adding a (somewhat funny) insult to injury.

Elsewhere on this week’s episode of Raw, Becky Lynch regained the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship by defeating Maxxine Dupri. Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY also captured the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships by besting the Kabuki Warriors (Kairi Sane and Asuka). Catch up on everything that went down on WWE RAW here.
