Former WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton has been absent from WWE television for over two months.
Stratton enjoyed an incredible 2025, starting the year by cashing in her contract on Nia Jax to win the WWE Women’s Championship. She went on to score a huge victory over Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 41 and held the title for an impressive 302-day reign before losing it in November.
Her last appearance on WWE TV came on November 1 at Saturday Night’s Main Event in Salt Lake City, Utah, where she dropped the championship to Jade Cargill. Since then, Stratton has not appeared on any WWE programming, leading to growing speculation about her status.
During a recent Q&A session, a fan asked PWInsider’s David Scherer about Stratton’s absence. Scherer suggested that the situation may be part of a familiar creative approach used by WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H.
He stated, “My guess is that Paul Levesque is doing something that has become a trope for him when some champions lose their Titles: He takes them off of TV to recharge them for when they return. It’s a smart move in my opinion. It makes sense to not remind everyone how someone just lost.”
It’s important to note that Scherer’s comments aren’t an official report, but Stratton’s absence does seem to follow a trend of how past champions are reintroduced on TV.
Last week, WWE SmackDown officially returned to the three-hour format, giving more room for storylines, surprises, and returning stars. With the Royal Rumble season underway, Tiffany Stratton’s return could be close, as reports have already stated that she is slated to appear on the show. Or will she come back to challenge Jade Cargill for the WWE Women’s Championship? Only time will tell.
