We haven’t seen Chad Gable on WWE programming for quite some time due to injury, but that’s about to change very soon.
The leader of American Made suffered an unfortunate rotator cuff injury last year while competing as the masked luchador El Grande Americano on an episode of WWE Speed.
Since this occurrence, the El Grande Americano persona was taken over by Ludwig Kaiser. But what happens when the original owner of the character is set to return? We have a surprising update on this front.
On the latest episode of WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, it was reported that despite Chad Gable being scheduled to return to WWE in time for the Royal Rumble, there are currently no immediate plans to have Ludwig Kaiser move on from the El Grande Americano gimmick.
There are also no plans to change Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne from the Rayo and Bravo Americano gimmicks either. Sean Ross Sapp has reported that WWE will look to integrate Gable into the angle. This will likely involve The Creed Brothers as well.
Stay tuned to WrestleZone for more information as it becomes available.
