Chad Gable could be on his way back to WWE in the near future.
Gable has been sidelined since June with a shoulder injury. At the time, he was also portraying the El Grande Americano character on WWE programming.
According to a new report from Fightful (via Fightful Select), Chad Gable could be on his way back to WWE TV soon. It was noted that Gable has been training at the WWE Performance Center for his return. This is currently planned to happen by the 2026 Royal Rumble, but “hopefully” before then.
Additionally, PWInsider.com (via PWInsider Elite) is reporting that Gable is expected to return “fairly soon.” It was noted that some WWE sources believe Gable could be back as soon as next week’s episode of WWE RAW. The January 5 episode of WWE RAW on Netflix takes place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The show will also have a Stranger Things tie-in.
Chad Gable’s last match (as El Grande Americano) was a WWE Speed Title defense against Berto on June 17. His last match (as Chad Gable) was a loss to AJ Styles on the June 9 episode of WWE RAW on Netflix.
After being sidelined with the injury, WWE gave Gable’s El Grande Americano gimmick to Ludwig Kaiser. The multiple Americanos angle will likely be addressed upon Gable’s return to TV.
