TNA star Matt Hardy has shut down rumors that Jeff Hardy was scheduled to appear at an event in Mexico this December.
He has called out a promotion for falsely advertising his brother, Jeff Hardy. A few months ago, an fan page in Mexico, “OK Play Monterrey,” promoted Jeff Hardy for their December 14, 2025 event. They posted on Instagram, “We continue to break tables this December 14th. See you soon @jeffhardybrand.”
Fans believed they would see Jeff Hardy in Mexico, however, that’s not happening. A fan asked Matt Hardy on X, formerly known as Twitter, if Jeff was really booked for a meet-and-greet in Monterrey.
The issue grew worse when OK Play Monterrey responded to the backlash. In a new Instagram post, they said the event was moving to May 16–17, 2026 and they wouldn’t give refunds. Fans didn’t accept that explanation. Many said the promotion was keeping their money even though it promoted a Jeff Hardy appearance that, according to Matt, never existed.
Matt Hardy immediately shut the rumor down, writing, “NOT TRUE. Jeff’s never been booked for Mexico.” Matt’s statement directly clashed with what OK Play had been advertising for months and fans quickly noticed the event had been selling tickets for a Jeff Hardy appearance that was never actually booked.
