WWE’s Video Library Could Find A New Home — Report

WWE owns decades of historic footage, and for the past few years, all of it has lived on Peacock instead of the WWE Network.

The setup might change soon as Fightful Select reported that WWE’s streaming deal with Peacock ends at the end of 2026. This leads many fans to wonder what will happen to WWE’s massive video library.

Fightful said WWE has not given any official answers despite being asked multiple times. Still, several people within the company shared what they expect to happen. “Those that we heard from expect the content to be slowly rolled out on to Youtube and the various Vault channels that WWE owns.”

“It is believed that because of the size of WWEs footprint on Youtube that they likely have a favorable deal with Google. It is not expected that WWE will just upload the entire library. They’ve long been happy with the buzz that their vault channels get, and the return they receive financially. It’s also internally viewed as a way to cultivate fans.”

While is no major change planned for the Vault channels. However, more classic content may appear there in the future. It was noted that when WWE Network was active, the company earned valuable rights fees for NXT, documentaries, and PLE’s.

A source mentioned that that the archive was not as big of a standalone draw as fans assumed. It helped attract interest early on and added value to the Peacock package. However, it likely would not bring in huge rights fees. Another WWE source said they’re open to any strong offer for the library. Now, YouTube still seems the most likely plan after the Peacock deal ends.
