Jonathan Gresham Returning To The Ring After Suffering Two Strokes

Jonathan Gresham is ready to step back into the squared circle after recovering from some serious health issues.

Gresham suffered two strokes while he was at home in August. At the time, Gresham shared that he woke up unable to move the left side of his body. He finally called 911 and later woke up in the hospital, but he was unable to remember what had happened. Gresham’s wife, NXT Superstar Jordynne Grace, happened to see paramedics attending to Gresham on their Ring doorbell, so she immediately flew home from Orlando and met him at the hospital.

“I’ve had a lot of tests run but everything has come back clean. They’re not sure what happened, and the only thing they said was it could have been a possible complication from a bad case of COVID I had a couple of weeks ago. They said we may never know the exact reason,” Gresham wrote on Twitter/X.

Gresham said he was taking several weeks off to recover, but planned to get fully cleared to return by his neurologist.

Jonathan Gresham has now been cleared to compete again, as he will compete at GCW and JCW’s SuperPower Slam on February 1. Gresham has made regular appearances in GCW, among other independent promotions, in 2025. This event will mark Gresham’s first in-ring appearance since he competed against WWE’s Pete Dunne at GCW Presents Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport XIV on August 2.
