Frankie Kazarian’s First Challenge for TNA World Title Set For Final Resolution

TNA Impact confirmed the new number one contender for Frankie Kazarian’s TNA World Title at Final Resolution.

On TNA Impact, Frankie Kazarian had a heated backstage confrontation with JDC. The segment saw Santino Marella was on the phone with WWE NXT general manager Ava when Kazarian walked in, demanding a written apology from Carlos Silva for last week’s chaos.

However, JDC entered and mocked the new TNA World champion’s look, which led Kazarian to fire back by asking when anyone last cared about JDC. The TNA World Champion also mentions JDC’s wife. The exchange gets serious as JDC demands a title shot.

Santino then booked JDC vs. Eric Young for the main event of the show, with the stipulation that if JDC won, he would earn a TNA World title match. Ahead of the match, Young, frustrated about being overlooked, promised to prove himself and become the number one contender for Frankie Kazarian’s title.

Their match saw Frankie Kazarian join commentary to watch closely. Both JDC and Young delivered a strong main event, but JDC sealed the win by backdropping Young off the top rope and hitting his Down & Dirty top rope legdrop for the win.

With the win, JDC became the new number one contender and will face Kazarian for the TNA World Championship on December 5, 2025, at Final Resolution in El Paso, Texas. JDC has already announced he plans to retire at TNA Genesis in January 2026, so it will be interesting to see if he can win his first-ever TNA World Title before he hangs up his boots.
