A recent report has shared details of Drew McIntyre’s current situation with WWE, including how long he will be under contract.
McIntyre re-signed a multi-year contract with WWE in April 2024. That announcement was made by The Rock on Instagram, who gave McIntyre a Claymore sword as a celebratory gift.
The length of the contract was not shared, but it was said to be a multi-year deal. According to Fightful (via Fightful Select), Drew McIntyre’s current WWE contract will run until 2028.
Fightful clarified that it’s not only worth millions of dollars per year, but they were told there’s “about two and a half years left on it.” It was noted that they can’t confirm the exact length of the deal. However, it was “hinted” that it’s a four-year deal that would have McIntyre in the company at least through WrestleMania 44.
Vince Russo pitched Drew McIntyre working for Juggalo Championship Wrestling
McIntyre’s status was a topic of discussion after he lost to Cody Rhodes at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event. Following the match, Vince Russo, who works with Juggalo Championship Wrestling, invited McIntyre to join JCW once his WWE contract ends. However, that move seems unlikely to happen anytime soon.
“@DMcIntyreWWE would LOVE to discuss you coming to @jcwlunacy once your @wwe contract expires,” Russo wrote on Twitter/X. “You have my word—-you won’t be booked like [poop emoji]!!!”
Drew McIntyre lost again to Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Title. Following the loss, he reacted on X by sharing a clip of Rhodes. In the video, Rhodes talks about Ted DiBiase Jr. claiming that a referee once tried to “Where is that referee? He was trying to f**k on me.”
