The leader of a major All Elite Wrestling faction reportedly suffered an injury during the latest AEW Dynamite broadcast from Kansas City.
AEW presented the go-home edition of Dynamite for WrestleDream from the Cable Dahmer Arena in Kansas City, Missouri. One of the matches on the card featured AEW World Trios Tag Team Champions The Opps (Samoa Joe, Powerhouse Hobbs and Katsuyori Shibata) defending their titles against La Facción Ingobernable (Rush, Dralistico and The Beast Mortos).
During the closing stretch of the match, RUSH entered the ring but got his kneepad caught on the bottom rope, causing him to land elbow-first on the mat. According to F4WOnline’s Bryan Alvarez (via Wrestling Observer Radio), the LFI leader dislocated his elbow due to the impact.
“He immediately was grabbing his left arm, holding it as he rolled outside,” per the report. “Shibata rolled outside with him and basically held onto him as opposed to a brawl. Alvarez said Rush popped the elbow back into place and he then took part in the post-match beatdown angle between Joe and AEW World Champion Hangman Page.”
RUSH was scheduled to compete in Mexico on Thursday at the time of this writing. It remains to be seen whether the injury will force him to withdraw from the match. Fans can catch up on everything that went down on AEW Dynamite here.
