Eric Bischoff Explains Why The nWo Failed In WWE

Eric Bischoff recently explained the reason why the nWo failed in their WWE run.

The New World Order was one of the major factions in the history of professional wrestling, and Eric Bischoff was one of the leading creators behind the idea. Though the nWo had a great run in WCW, the faction failed miserably during its WWE run.

While speaking on 83 Weeks: WWE Ruined The nWo, Bischoff was asked why the nWo didn’t succeed in WWE. He cited poor strategy as the primary reason, comparing it to the John Cena vs. The Rock heel storyline from Elimination Chamber 2025, which was later suddenly dropped by the company.

“It wasn’t set up properly,” Eric Bischoff said. “It’s a little bit like the Cena/Rock situation. It just started off wrong. The way it was introduced. It was dead on arrival, to be honest with you. The audience [was confused]. That’s the worst thing you can do to an audience is to confuse them.” [H/T: Wrestling.Inc]
