Iyo Sky broke down in tears backstage after Asuka attacked her on WWE RAW.
Asuka reached her breaking point on WWE RAW following her loss against Rhea Ripley. The Empress of Tomorrow unleashed her green mist on Ripley and ordered a reluctant Kairi Sane to attack, as both women brutally assaulted the former Women’s World Champion.
Iyo Sky ran to the ring to stop them. Asuka paused and even pretended to make peace, hugging Sky for a moment. But suddenly, she hit Sky with a spinning back fist while Kairi Sane looked on, clearly torn.
Asuka then ordered Kairi Sane to join the attack. Together, they assaulted Iyo Sky and a dazed Rhea Ripley, who was drenched in green mist. While Asuka didn’t seem affected by her actions, mocking both Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky. However, Sky was clearly shaken by the shocking betrayal from her friends.
She took to X, formerly known as Twitter, sharing a backstage video of herself crying and saying, “We were friends. I thought we were friends. I believed we were friends. Asuka and Kairi don’t want me. Devastated. No. But I… I wasn’t helpful to them. I realized that today. This hurts more than losing a match. I just don’t know. I’m done.”
